Berger-Girvalo supports children, parents, education

State Representative Aimee Berger-Girvalo works hard for children, parents and education in Ridgefield.

Most recently, she secured a $400,000 grant for ADA-compliant playgrounds at two of our elementary schools. She passed a bill helping CT schools upgrade their HVAC systems and ensured regular inspections and reports on their operation. This means better air quality and healthier schools. Aimee is focused on what’s best for our kids.

The partnership between parents and school staff is central to maintaining accessibility and supporting schools to
our children. Aimee Berger-Girvalo brought her experience as an RPS parent, her professional training in Applied Behavior Analysis and her bachelor’s degree in Developmental Disabilities Defense to her advocacy for HB 5001/SB 1, which provides grants so schools can hire more support staff, including for student mental health. This important legislation expanded needed mental health supports with grants for social workers, psychologists and counsellors, nurses and school health centers, and ensured that our teachers would not be required to teach online and in person simultaneously.

Aimee Berger-Girvalo is a committed and dedicated advocate for children, parents and education. We need her in Hartford, fighting for Ridgefield. Join me in voting to re-elect Aimee Berger-Girvalo as State Representative on November 8.
